The China Silk Association and China Tong Yuan Co Ltd will jointly host an exclusive Chinese Silk Culture and Embroidery Art Exhibition on 11th -12th December 2012. The exhibition will be held on 9th Floor, Bank of China London Head Office; a unique central London venue in the heart of the City.
It is supported by the Chinese Embassy in the UK and the Bank of China.
A fine selection of silk and embroidery artwork will be on display, showcasing the heritage and craftsmanship of Chinese silk at the exhibition.
The team at 3rd element designed and built a number of display plinths for the event as well as supplying other items of furniture.
A limited selection of items will be for sale during the exhibition and the proceeds will be donated to the charity, the Art Room, Patron – HRH The Duchess of Cambridge.
The exhibition will be open to guests from the afternoon of 11th December between 2 to 5pm and the whole day on 12th December between 9am to 12am and 2pm to 5pm.
This exhibition will be an interactive journey through the history and heritage of Chinese silk production. Visitors will learn of the modern silk industry in China today as well as silk embroidery as a contemporary art form. There will be live embroidery performances, presentations and business matching meetings.
